How the club is run
South Hampstead Club Ltd is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, with no shares and no shareholders. Its members each guarantee £1 if the club is ever wound up.
Under the club's Articles of Association, no profit or property can be paid out to members. Any surplus stays in the club and goes towards its purpose: providing facilities for amateur sport. If the club were ever wound up, anything left would go to another community sports club, a charity or a sport's governing body.
